Josh is an intense thinker and cares about contributing positively to the outcome. He is married to his wife, Jamie, and they have three children. An adjunct professor of law, Josh has a passion for our Constitution and American history. Josh was elected as the Lafayette Mayor-President in 2019.
He was blessed to serve approximately 250,000 constituents for four years. In his time in office, he brought conservative principles to local government that led to a balanced budget, a significant increase in investments to infrastructure, a strong economy, the lowest unemployment in the state of Louisiana upon leaving office, and policies that ensured law enforcement and firefighters were adequately paid and had the resources they needed to do their jobs at the highest caliber. Guillory is also an Army combat veteran. He enlisted in the Louisiana Army National Guard, served on active duty in the Army, was enlisted, and then later become a Cavalry officer. Josh served in Baghdad, Iraq in 2005 and is a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom. When he’s not having fun on the Josh Guillory Show each afternoon, Josh is engaged in business, practicing law, and keeping up with his favorite sports teams. Josh strives to help promote a more civil discussion of policy and politics, and he stands strong in his conservative values while welcoming a diversity of thought to the conversation.
